Alimo (b. 1985, Portland, OR) is a contemporary artist and illustrator whose work captures the quiet, unremarkable moments of everyday life. The ones you almost forgot to notice. Drawing on his background in surf culture and a restless curiosity that takes him around the world, his paintings translate lived observation into bold, flat, saturated imagery populated by figures moving freely through the world.
His signature visual language of curvy post-pop forms, highly saturated color, and expressive hand-drawn lettering has made him a recognizable voice across fine art, murals, and commercial work. Clients have included Patagonia, Swatch, Portland Trail Blazers, and 10 Barrel Brewing Co. His work has been exhibited in New York, Hawaii, Brazil, and Japan.
He lives between Brooklyn and the West Coast.
