Japanuary is a visual diary born from years of winter snowboard trips to Japan. Each piece in the collection captures the textures and quiet moments that define a Japanese winter: powder clouds at sunrise, steaming ramen after a long run, a vending machine glowing against the snow, a village tucked into the mountains. The work pulls from Japanese art and design traditions and filters them through a skateboarder's eye, flat shapes, bold color, and scenes that feel lived-in rather than posed.
The collection dropped as 1/1 digital editions on Nifty Gateway in 2024. The 1/1s are sold, but open-edition prints are available for those who want to bring the series home.
